Marriage relationships
‘Marriage’ is said to be a part of adulthood and that marital satisfaction plays a key role in our life. A happy marriage is said to be when two people are comfortable with each other, fulfil their parental duties, can keep time and attention on their partners and their careers and interests. A poor marriage may consist of low self-wellbeing, lack of support from partner, adjustment issues, physical and psychological abuse in extreme cases. Marriage counselling and couple counselling plays an important role in re-building of relationships.
Divorce and Separation
Cases of divorce and separation have become extremely common among adults. Divorce after short term and long-term marriage causes emotional imbalance, financial difficulties, withdrawal tendencies, low self- esteem, poor communication with children and other family members, emptiness, depression and other mental illnesses. Help of a counsellor or therapist is needed in these cases for couple, family and marriage counselling for rebuilding relationships.
Family Responsibility
Family responsibilities include caring for spouse, child or parents, pregnancy, caring for disabled child, sibling care or old aged person. Every member (adult) of the family must equally take the responsibilities and should be concerned about the overall growth and development of the family. A bad structure and functioning in the family can be improved through family counselling.
